Veterans Services – The Veteran Services Office assists veterans in obtaining federal and state VA benefits. Some of the federal benefits include compensation, medical, pension, and education. A few of the more relevant state benefits include burial costs, paid education for children, license plates, and tax deductions.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families – The goal of the program is to promote housing stability among very low-income Veteran families who reside in, or are transitioning to, permanent housing.

Area IV Agency on Aging/Community Action Programs – A private, not-for-profit organization working to make the best use of federal, state, and local resources in the form of programs or services. One of their services is the Energy Assistance Program which provides financial assistance to low-income households to maintain utility services during the winter heating season and sometimes (if funds are available) during the summer cooling season. An Energy Assistance Program recipient is protected from having their regulated utility disconnected between December 1 and March 15.
National Call Center for Homeless Veterans – Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness—and their family members, friends and supporters—can make the call to or chat online with the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans, where trained counselors are ready to talk confidentially 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
